cell phones good
I watched this TED video on how cell phones reduce poverty in the developing world.
Then I remembered how I get 5 bars (and barely 3 here in TO!) in the middle of nowhere China at the wife's parents. Because of the big cellphone tower mounted. There are other things I'm reading, and realizing just how shrewd the PRC are.
