Booked my flight to China!!! Heads or tails win or lose I'm going. It's gonna be hot and humid. Uggh.

Talked to her at work today. For 27 minutes. Usually it's ~20 minutes. She says I'm 'lah-cky' because I work 5 days a week. There's a lot of laowai in Dongguan hanging around unemployed.

April 27 late

My wife eats an apple every day. I picked up the habit from her. Fuji apples. I think they are actually cheaper here. In China my co-workers complain that vegetables are expensive. I think they are the same price as here.

I'm wearing the Thales Leites shirt I won. I used to wear it to Muay Thai, but not any more since he sucks. Speaking of Muay Thai, my wife complains that she's "2 wife" and me going to Muay Thai is #1. Actually I explain to her, I give her about 5x the money I give Muay Thai. Since she is waiting to get word on a visa she can't get a good paying job, since she has to sign a 6 month contract and pay up front. Not to mention the real estate market is deleveraging.

Sunday April 27

no picture, because my print screen is messed up. I have to reboot.

Things are better with us today. Buy my wife told me that her computer is running slow. She was so angry, she hit her laptop or slammed it shut or something. Of course, it's my fault she abused it....right...

I made a deal with her. If I go to China next month, and she has her visa, we will visit her parents. If not, we'll just hang out. It's not really comfortable going to her parents, no indoor plumbing, I don't know what anyone is saying since they speak dialect, then people talk to me like I can understand them, so I try to be polite and nod yes, ok, yes, ok.

Saturday morning

Everything was going great. Then we got into an argument. My wife keeps asking me why the immigration process takes so long. Whenever she talks to some MORONS in China, they tell her that it shouldn't take so long. Hmm, well f**ker, why aren't you in Canada right now? You talk like it's so easy. What's the proverb...Talk doesn't cook rice. May all those f**kers live in interesting times.

huh

talked to the wife today, she was busy with her friend talking. They were at Huang Gang Kou An, I think it's also called Futian Kou An, when you go by the subway.

I'm thinking about using vacation time and going. If I book now, it's $800, so $1030 with taxes...dude!! But apparently that's Air Cathay's normal price now. And Continental is cheap apparently too, I'll have to check Kayak.com. But with AC I collect Air Miles.

Arpil 12, 13

Sunday morning - My wife didn't understand Easter so I explained it to her. She knew about, just not the meaning.

Sunday night after I got back from my sister's

Monday night late

Stupid post office was closed, and immigration probably too! So I couldn't mail supporting docs for her interview.

April 10

Wife was mad at me today, because she's trying to learn my address from my mailing address. She doesn't understand that for me to list the district I live in, not the major city, is good enough for mail to get here to me. She's used to X city, Y district, Z village, building 123, Floor 4, Apartment 5 etc.

She also made the comment that I've stopped learning Chinese since we got married. But I haven't been able to take any courses! They always get canceled on low attendance. So when she is learning English here I will learn the Zhongwen.

Her internet is pay by the second, and her seconds ran out in our conversation lol. She has to go top up her account.

April 8

talked to the wife today at work

She complained about the uncertainty and long waiting time for the visa/immigration process. She can't get a good paying job because the good companies make you pay a large fee up front, like a contract arrangement, so you can't take off. I guess it's to discourage job hopping, which probably was very common back in the boom times.

April 6

Talk to the wifee today at work. Her sister is at our place in Zhangmutou, she plans on cleaning. (da sao) She wants to MSN again so you can see the pictures now. She doesn't like my MSN display picture because she's in it and she's not 'beautiful.' Rolls eyes. So I changed it to a duck.

People at work asked me again when her interview is. Then I told them about all the damned paperwork she has to bring AGAIN. Then they wonder how all the other immigrants got in this country, they didn't have a white guy like me to sponsor them.

I sent my wife these pictures of a pillow she'd like as a joke. She wants to bring her pillow from China here....

She thinks the baby cleanup clothing is a good idea.

back

My wife got back from her home village in Guizhou. There is some "March the Third" festival they go to and color their eggs. Like Easter I guess. dunno.

I got her to give my sister a "Happy Birthday!" text message. The wife pronounces April - "apple". lol

She still complains I'm "small" from Muay Thai.

Apr 2 - still in Guizhou

talked to the wifee today on break at work as per usual. I called her a couple of days ago, she was at a karoake, she was only speaking English, I couldn't figure out why. But it was simple, she didn't want her friends to listen. A lot of people in her village ask her if she's pregnant. Nope! Not yet!

I taught her some new words today "staaa-dee" (study) and "praaa.ticse" (practice) I make her say it over so she gets the sounds right.

There are no flights back to Shenzhen this week or next, unless she wants to take a bus to Guiyang then fly to Shenzhen. So she's going to take the train back to Guangzhou, which she doesn't want to do. 18 hours in a seat, and you can't sleep because you need to watch for 'xiao.tou's, thieves.

My blog got another vote!!! hehe.
